COVID-19
Working together to flatten the curve
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, we have been proactive in taking precautionary measures to keep our staff and your staff safe.
Star Laundry COVID-19 Safety Protocols
The safety of our staff, your staff, and everyone’s families are the highest priority so we have implemented the following safety precautions.
Personnel. Upon entering our facility, our team sanitizes their hands and puts on their PPE (nitrile gloves, gowns, and surgical masks), which are disposed of or sent to be washed at the end of each shift. We have placed hand sanitizing stations throughout our facility and have our staff regularly sanitize their hands throughout the day.
Linen. When the linen enters our facility, the bins are immediately sprayed down 70% isopropyl alcohol, which is considered to be the most effective in destroying and inhibiting growth of pathogenic microorganisms. The linen then sits untouched for 24 hours before processing. The linen then goes through a washing process that meets or exceeds the CDC and WHO guidelines. Once the bins are emptied, the inside and outside are sprayed down with 70% isopropyl alcohol so the clean linen is entering clean bins.
Facility. High touch areas are sprayed down with 70% isopropyl alcohol 3x per day. Trucks are sanitized daily.
For additional information, please review the CDC and WHO guidelines.
