What is the Star Laundry difference?


We take pride in providing the highest level of quality and service. Our proprietary chemical blends have built a reputation of bright and white sheets. We will turn your greying sheets white again! Our process and risk mitigation protocol has been designed so that our operation never shuts down despite weather, natural disasters, floods, electrical outages, etc. We are committed to getting your linen back to you!




Where are you located?


We are located in Paterson, NJ, which is 20 minutes outside of New York City. We have 3 facilities co-located on the same block and each facility is a redundant backup to one another. We are here to serve you!




What kind of quality controls do you have in place?


We have designed our process to utilize a blend of technology and human intervention. The human element in the process allows us to have extra eyes and attention on your linen so the linen is carefully handled. Our team can make process adjustments based on things they see and ensure the highest quality product makes it back to you. Quality is engrained in everything we do!




Do you deliver on holidays, in extreme weather conditions, and during natural disasters?


We deliver 365 days per year regardless of holidays, weather, or disasters. We own and operate our trucks so we can ensure delivery reliability. Our robust risk mitigation plan allows us to ensure operation regardless of weather or natural disasters. We are committed to delivering you what you need when you need it.




How do you handle rewash?


Your linen will be returned to you in 3 categories: (i) clean, (ii) stained, and (iii) discard. We ask you to set aside the stained linen until you have at least half a bin. Once you have accumulated at least half a bin, send it back to us for rewash processing. The rewash process has more aggressive process parameters and a stronger proprietary chemical blend. We do everything we can to get those tough stains out so you can extend the life of your linen!




What is the turnaround time for laundry sent out?


The linen and terry have a 24 hour turnaround time so what we pick up today will be back to you tomorrow! The household items have a 3-5 day turnaround time so that we can accumulate enough household items for a full batch.




How do I know what I’m getting back each day?


A daily shipping list will be provided with your delivery that summarizes what is delivered that day. Each bin will have a yellow slip summarizing the contents of each bin and each bin has a unique bin number. We keep a record of all these at our facility as well so that we can have traceability throughout the process.




What is the pricing structure?


Our pricing structure is flexible to meet your needs. Whether you need price per pound, per item, or per occupied room, we have you covered!




How will I be invoiced?


Invoices are sent once a week and will provide a breakdown of what was processed in the past week. Daily shipping lists will be provided with your delivery and the weekly invoices are an aggregate of the daily shipping lists with prices attached.




What will our delivery time be?


We do our best meet the delivery time that your property needs.




Can I come visit the plant?


Yes! We encourage you and your team to visit the plant and learn more about our operations. Please feel free to reach out to us at any time to schedule a visit.




Do you have additional capacity to take us on?


We run our operation at 70% capacity so that we can adjust to seasonal fluctuations, unexpected challenges, and to take on new customers that we believe will be good long-term partners. We have grown organically over the years primarily through word of mouth as we have 0 sales reps. We believe in gradual sustainable growth.
